Australia speaks and Cold Chisel listens. Due to extraordinary demand and lightning-fast ticket sales, Cold Chisel have decided to extend their Light The Nitro tour to include three additional shows in early December.
More than 200,000 tickets for this special tour have been already been sold in recent days. As a result the band has announced that it will perform extra shows in Adelaide (Monday, 5 December), Melbourne (Friday, 9 December) and Brisbane (Tuesday, 13 December). Tickets for these 3 shows go on sale at midday local times today.
People cannot get enough Cold Chisel and the band is doing all it can to quench this thirst. Last Friday, the band put fans in Adelaide, the band’s birthplace, on notice that it would announce an additional show this week after selling out the two shows in less than an hour! With a second show at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena selling out almost immediately last Friday, another show was inevitable. Fans in South East Queensland have also made a third Brisbane Entertainment Centre show undeniable.
The band is aware that fans in Perth, Canberra, Newcastle and Wollongong are also desperate for more shows and they are trying to squeeze in as many as possible without compromising the quality of their performance or production in any way. It’s a logistical dilemma!
Additionally, last week Cold Chisel issued a statement after becoming aware that tickets were being resold at hugely inflated prices on various sites, such as eBay and Facebook. Powerless to stop this action, the band knows that some tickets being offered for sale are either not legitimate or are making false and misleading representations. As Cold Chisel adds more shows, it implores fans not to purchase unauthorised tickets as their validity cannot be guaranteed.
